A big thank you to everyone who showed up! We had a really great evening and it felt really good to try all the new songs live.

Posted in News on November 13, 2012 by egefurHere’s a clip from an unplugged gig we did in Gothenburg last year. This version of “Slugger” actually laid the groundwork for “Slugger redux” that (probably) will be on the next album.
Let’s make a record!
Posted in News on February 1, 2012 by egefurToday The Billy Pilgrims enters the Music-a-matic studio with producer Chips K. and engineer Henryk Lipp to start the recording of “record nr 2″ (no name yet). Hopefully we’ll put some pics and videos up here on the page later on. As much as possible will be recorded live in studio to try to catch some of the energy that TBP generates in concerts. That means many, many takes on each song and we’ll be working around the clock until Sunday.
Down the playground
Posted in News on November 16, 2011 by egefurNine new songs recorded for pre-production this weekend. Mostly for our producer Chips Kiesbye to look into before we enter the studio in februari. A quick session right into the recorder, but The Billy Pilgrims 2012 will sound something like this:
Studio booked for new record!
Posted in News on October 27, 2011 by egefurThe Billy Pilgrims will re-enter the studio Music-A-Matic to record a second album in january. Those of you who’ve seen us live or followed the updates here know that the music has changed quite a bit since “Where’s the goddamn revolution”. A little less garage, a little more folk. This of course will make the second album a little different. Together with producer Chips Kiesbye it’s been decided to record as much as possible live in the studio to preserve the sound and energy from the stage (which, as you know, always knocks you out).

From Gothenburg to Malmö
Posted in News on September 7, 2011 by egefur
The Billy Pilgrims is soon of to Malmö and Debaser to perform a gig with old scholl-rockers The Diamond Dogs on friday. They’ve played with bands such as Hanoi Rocks and The Damned, sold out the football stadium in Benidorm with The Cult and played 21 gigs in the U.K. in 21 days. Now they get to top all that by playing with The Billy Pilgrims.
The gig will be quit special for the pilgrims. Rasmus Loberg will stay home attending his new born daughter (big congratulations!) and instead acoustic guitarplayer Martin Linö will cover up on the drums. The entrance is free (!!) until 10pm, so be sure to be there in time. The Billy Pilgrims will be on stage 9.30.
